Great Typography Film
Here’s a great typography video - very nicely produced, and a brief introduction for those new to the art of typography.

Excellent production indeed. I liked the sound and visual effects that made this look like a very old movie.
Have you seen this page from TypeCulture?
It has some nice movies on Typography there as well. My favourite one is Typomania. Btw, did you watch that new Helvetica movie? I didn’t, but I’d sure like to.
Typography is a fascinating subject. I’ve dedicated several of my posts to talk a bit about it.

Thank you! The Goudy video is wonderful. I was spellbound. Pity there’s no audio. I haven’t watched the Helvetica film yet. It won’t show in Japan until later this year, I think. I wish they’d hurry up and release it as a download, or something - I’d pay for it.
I’m off to watch those other videos…

Nice clip indeed.
I’m also looking forward to watching Helvetica. There are no screenings planned for Edinburgh so I’ll have to either head further afield or wait for the download.

If you do get to watch it, be sure to take your video camera
