A New Take on Bedtime Reading

Having trouble sleeping? Give the sheep a break and try this:

Sleepless by Tiago da Fonseca

Designed by Tiago da Fonseca, this blanket comprises several sheets printed with bedtime stories. An interesting and novel idea; and one that has got me thinking about a series entitled “Typography in bed”–Helvetica Neue or Georgia would be my preferred typographic sleeping partner. How about you?

  1. These bedsheets are really cool. The should do a “Comic Sans MS” version of it, so we offer it to annoying clients.

  2. Hmmmm, that’s one I haven’t seen before, Johno.

My problem would be reading over my girlfriend’s curves, but that could be fun. Helvetica Neue would get my thumbs up. Perhaps a bit of Univers?

As Mirko suggests however, you can’t beat a bit of Comic Sans, with some Papyrus thrown in for a bit of contrast.

    A very nice idea - yes, a great “anti-gift”.

I’m sure you will manage. Papyrus and Comic Sans on the same page - that must be reserved for the worst of clients ;)

  4. You guys quit knocking my papyrus. ;)

I sure wouldn’t need my reading glasses.

  5. He started it ;)
Beth, with beautiful photos of such high quality you can be forgiven - I never noticed your logo…am I digging a hole here?

  6. I’m sorry Beth Ellen.

That’s the last you’ll hear of it from me. ;)

  7. lol. It’s OK. I did it in ignorance. :) But now that I am enlightened I will likely change it. You do like the cup I made though? ;)

  8. hmm… I’m not sure about the usefulness of such sheets for adults, but kids will definitely enjoy reading colourful stories in bed with sheets like that. :-)
