FireFox 3 Alpha released
FireFox 3 Aplha, codenamed Gran Paradiso, is now available for download - includes some interesting new features, one of which is that bookmarks and browsing history are stored in a SQLite database, which should make for better performance and stability.
Gran Paradiso Alpha 5 is an early developer milestone for the next major version of Firefox that is being built on top of the next generation of Mozilla’s layout engine, Gecko 1.9. Gran Paradiso Alpha 5 is being made available for testing purposes only, and is intended for web application developers and our testing community. Current users of Mozilla Firefox should not use Gran Paradiso Alpha 5.
You can read more about it over at PC World.

Hi
I really like Firefox but find it sometimes runs really slow on my Mac, I downloaded a beta called Bon Echo, I guess that was the one before this

Thanks. I use Firefox as my primary browser on my Mac (never use Safari), but, yes, I agree, it can be a little slow and hogs so much memory! What do you use as your primary browser?
I like the look of your redesigned Graphic Design Blog - gorgeous.

Thanks for the complement on my blog.
I use Firefox most of the time but the sluggishness annoys me. Sometimes I flip to Safari, which is much quicker but I hate the bookmarking system.

I’ve take a look at it, and it’s no great shakes. Guess it’s only beta, but expected something more. There’s a new Safari 3 Beta out - looks pretty cool. I think it’s avail’ for Windows too. Ironic after MS dropped IE for Mac.
