Why Use Gmail Video?

An interesting video from Google on why Gmail is so great(?). I use Gmail for personal mail, and have tried mail through Google Apps, but I wouldn’t use it for day-to-business mail. Interestingly, the video extols the virtues of Gmail’s “Grouping Mail into Conversations feature”–that’s about the only thing I dislike about it. I’d like to have the option to switch it off. Anyone else out there use Google Apps for their mail?

  1. good video, but it doesn’t make me want to try google mail.

  2. I use Google Apps for my mail, and I love it. The email grouping feature, in my opinion, is the strongest thing Gmail has going for it (as well as great spam filter), although would agree the ability to switch it off would make it a more flexible product.

I love tags, but at there are times when I would like folders too.

Yes, the spam filter is very good. I’ve only ever had (as far as I’m aware) a single false positive. Perhaps I could get used to the whole conversation grouping thing, but users like options :)

And being Google, the search works brilliantly.
