I on Art: Chris Appelhans

I stumbled across Chris Appelhans today; a very talented artist/illustrator hailing from Los Angeles. He has a surprisingly broad range of styles, from classic water colour architectural illustrations through cartoons, fantasy and what looks like digitally-rendered pieces. A great talent indeed.

Thanks to Lauren for the nomenclature, “I on Art”. This will be a regular feature: highlighting artists, illustrators and photographers that catch my eye.

  1. Are these digital? Like the first one. It looks like CGI.

  2. Hey cool! I’m glad you liked my idea :) I always enjoy these features. You find the most interesting artists! I really loved this artist’s interpretations of Alice in Wonderland (one of my favorite stories!)

Thanks again. I’m pleased you like them. I like the illustrations for Alice in Wonderland too. I’d love to see these in a new published version of the book.
