Adobe Magazine
If you’ve never read the Adobe Magazine, then do. A great source of inspiration.
We’ve reinvented Proxy magazine to create the all-new Adobe Magazine for Creative Professionals. Subscribe to this free, online quarterly, and discover fresh insight and tutorials from the wide world of visual communications. You’ll see work that’s breaking new ground, get an insider’s perspective on how it was created, and find new ideas and tools to enhance your own projects.
Being from Adobe they sometimes tie-in articles with Adobe products, but always in a way that’s useful. I use numerous Adobe products, so I’m happy to learn new ways of using them more effectively.
Not that the magazine is all about Adobe; there are well-written and informative articles, complimented by some good design and imagery. Oh, and this pdf magazine is free, and you can download the whole archive. Happy reading, and let me know your thoughts. Are there any online magazines that you read regularly?

Adobe magazine is cool, but I don’t read it regularly, I prefer reading blogs, I think that they are better to discover new stuff and be inspired.

I read A List Apart, as all web professionals should!
I also read Smashing Magazine; they always have a great compilation of links to online resources and tutorials. Some might argue that that it’s not really a magazine because they don’t produce any original articles, but I think it’s tough to gather all the best resources into a comprehensive list and I always find their stuff useful.
I like reading blogs, too, because of the community and ability to interact with the authors. I wouldn’t say that they are necessarily more up-to-date than the ezines, though. Because of the nature of digital media, it can be instantly updated, which is a benefit to blogs and ezines. Some articles should be timeless while others timely.

A List Apart is just as its name suggests. I love it. And I really like, “Some articles should be timeless while others timely.”

I downloaded the pdf of the magazine about a month ago. I agree it certainly has beautifully designed layouts and a few good articles, however, it’s also filled with a lot of ads. Makes sense when you’re Adobe though. Looking forward to see what the next issue has to offer.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, there are quite a few ad’s, though perhaps fewer than in the paid-for for-print magazines.
